Dungay Public School is a small school on the outskirts of Murwillumbah.
The purpose of Dungay School is to:
- develop and implement programs which support effective learning in basic skills;
- ensure that all students have the opportunity to become actively involved in their learning;
- provide a safe and caring environment;
- acknowledge and value the roles that parents play as partners in the educational process;
- recognise and take pride in their achievements.
This will be achieved through:
- initiating early identification of students with special talents/learning difficulties;
- providing welfare policies which ensure students are self disciplined, responsible and caring;
- promoting home/school learning;
- a community which has trust, confidence and pride in public education at Dungay School.
