Our school can help with enrolment queries throughout the year.
Local enrolment area
Check your address on School Finder to see if it is within our local intake area. Most schools have designated local enrolment areas. Note: local enrolment areas are subject to change.
How to enrol
If you live in our intake area and would like to apply to enrol at our school, start by submitting an online enrolment application. Online enrolment is currently only available for Australian or New Zealand citizens and permanent residents.
If you are not able to apply online or you prefer not to, download the paper application to enrol (PDF 768.4KB) form. Please complete the form in English. A translated application to enrol may help you do this.
Online enrolment can also be used for out-of-area enrolment. Please note that out-of-area enrolment procedures are subject to the department’s enrolment policy.
Enrolment applications are finalised at the school.

Enrol at Dungay Public School
Parents enrolling their children complete an enrolment form (further down the page) which provides the school with important information. If you change your workplace, emergency telephone contact number, home telephone number or address, please inform the office of the change straight away.
In 2020 the New South Wales DoE has tightened arrangements significantly around out of zone enrolments. Schools beyond 'capacity' cannot accept enrolments of families living out of zone for any reason. Should the school have available vacancy below the specified 'capacity' then the school may consider accepting out of zone enrolments. Please call Dungay primary school to see how close we are to capacity. Capacity is determined by the number of permanent classrooms in the school.
Should you have an address within zone, your enrolment will be automatically accepted.
Starting School – Ages
Children may start Kindergarten at the beginning of the school year if they turn five years of age on or before 31st July in that year. Research shows the importance of starting boys and girls at appropriate age. At interview the Principal will talk more in regards to this research and ensuring the child is at the right age. Kindergarten children will start the school year one day later than the rest of the students. Students must enrol in Kindergarten the year they turn six.
